What is FedFleet 2007?

The Federal Fleet Policy Council, the Interagency Committee for Aviation Policy, GSA's Office of Governmentwide Policy, and GSA Fleet are proud to sponsor FedFleet 2007. .

FedFleet 2007 will be held July 24 -26 at the Rosen Shingle Creek located in sunny Orlando, Florida.

Those who attended FedFleet in the past already know what the FedFleet Workshops are all about and what they offer. For those of you planning on attending the FedFleet Workshop for the first time in 2007, have we got an event for you!   This is a massive annual training opportunity centered on the essential topics related to the management and operation of the entire federal motor vehicle fleet of almost 600,000 vehicles.

FedFleet 2007 will include the GSA Automotive Federal Vehicle Standards breakout sessions and vendor presentations. We are also including an Aviation Safety Officer's Workshop and an all-day Basic Fleet Management class into the agenda. This comprehensive collection of fleet management, automotive procurement and aircraft related educational sessions truly makes FedFleet 2007 a one-stop experience for Fleet Management professionals.

What is the Federal Government Per Diem rates for Orlando, FL?

M&IE information:

The M&IE for Orlando is $49.00 per day. The calculation for the first and last day of your travel is 75% of the $49.00 = $36.75. The conference lodging amount is $111.

On your travel voucher, you must adjust your M&IE rate for the meals provided to you at FedFleet 2007. You must deduct the appropriate amount for each meal provided during your attendance, whether or not you had those meals.

  • The value to be reduced for breakfast (provided Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) is $9.00. (Also Sunday for those attending the Basic Fleet Class and Monday for those beginning the ASO training.)
  • The value to be reduced for lunch (provided Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) is $13.00. (Also Sunday for those attending the Basic Fleet Class and Monday for those beginning the ASO training.)
  • The value to be reduced for dinner (provided Tuesday as our Awards Dinner”) is $24.00.

The majority of the travelers vouchers will be as follows:

What is the government gift acceptance policy?

Associates of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government are subject to the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) Standards of Ethical Conduct. Therefore, GSA wants to ensure that any gifts offered do not result in violations of the OGE regulations.
Federal Government associates subject to the OGE regulations may not accept a gift(s) with a market value of more than $20.00 from any single exhibitor during the span of the FedFleet 2007 event (not to exceed $50.00 from the same source in a calendar year). 

Promotional items, gifts, and exhibitor-sponsored events are considered gifts under the OGE regulations, as are food and drink (with the exception of modest items of food or refreshment such as soft drinks, coffee and donuts, offered other than as part of a meal).

How can I make sure my special needs will be accommodated at FedFleet 2007?

Any registrant or speaker requiring attention to special needs, including dietary restrictions, should include them on the Registration Form. A FedFleet coordinator will contact you prior to the event to make the necessary arrangements. Please also inform the hotel of your special needs when making your hotel reservations.

Is there a dress code for FedFleet 2007?

The attire for all FedFleet 2007 events is business casual.  Recommendations include collared-shirts, slacks, and skirts.  Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.  A blazer or light sweater may be needed in the meeting rooms.

What is the FedFleet 2007 Cancellation Policy?

Refunds for registration fees may be given if your cancellation request is received by A-S-K Associates, Inc. no later than May 14, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. CST. A $100 fee will be applied to all cancellations.  No refunds will be given after that date. Attendee substitutions may be made provided a written release from the original registrant accompanies the substitution. There are no exceptions.

Why is the Government lodging rate higher than the allowable $89.00?

See the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR)  41CFR part 301-74  which states:
§301-74.7  What is the conference lodging allowance?
The conference lodging allowance is a predetermined maximum allowance of up to 25 percent greater than the applicable locality lodging portion of the per diem rate. Under this reimbursement method, employees will be reimbursed the actual amount incurred for lodging up to the conference lodging allowance.
§301-74.8  Who may authorize reimbursement of the conference lodging allowance for a Government sponsored conference?

The approval authority for the conference lodging allowance is the Government agency sponsoring the conference. The sponsoring agency will determine the appropriate conference lodging allowance, up to 25 percent above the established lodging allowance for the chosen location, and that rate shall be allowable for all employees of any agency authorized to attend the conference. The determination must be made by a senior agency official at the sponsoring agency.
§301-74.9  Who may authorize reimbursement of the conference lodging allowance for a non-Government sponsored conference?

The travel approving official of a Government employee authorized to attend a non-Government sponsored conference may authorize the employee to be reimbursed for lodging expenses incurred up to the conference lodging allowance rate.
